About 3D World, I thought roughly the first half was overrated; then the second half was outstanding. Especially the latter 3 worlds.

I liked more the first 8 worlds.

I don't consider 3D Land/World to be 3D Marios. To me, they are what I categorize as isometric Mario games.

You don't *have* to, you can see basically all the game has to offer without it. Now if I had needed to do so to get to World Crown, then I would have been mad.

Like sports, you can only compare games of different eras against the time that they were in. Mario 64 actually changed the entire industry. It invented the wheel so to speak. If SMB is the template in which all 2D games would follow, Mario 64 is the game ALL 3D games would soon try to mimic.

Galaxy was an amazing game but it didn't have 100th of the impact on the industry that Mario 64 had. Without Mario 64, there wouldn't BE a Galaxy. So if they're to be ranked, that has to be taken into consideration.

I'd rank 3D Mario games as Mario 64,Galaxy,Sunshine and then Galaxy 2 because it's a sequel. 3D World isn't a 3D Mario, so it wouldn't be considered. Even if it was, 3D Land should be before it since it gave birth to it.

I'm not ranking their impact, I am ranking the enjoyment I get out of them.

No, but I played it in the late 90s.

It plays better solo, just like the NSMB games. Just because you CAN play co-op doesn't mean you have to. The game plays great as a single player affair, so your impressions are wrong.

And I'm sorry, but people calling a game that sold over a million copies in less than a month "3DFlop" (as if somehow that's clever) need to check their gamer card in at the door. Even if it had only sold half a million in that time, it wouldn't be a "flop". Considering what it HAS sold, it is most certainly a success. Period.
