Serious question. What were those lies by MS? I have missed them.

I will copy some random post in GAF & here (ohhhh it is my own post):

Some maths...

US: 909k (2 weeks)
UK: 170k (2 weeks)
Spain: ~28k (4 weeks)
France: ~50k (2 weeks)
Australia: 67k (? week)

Total: 1,224k

MS: 2 million in 18 days... so three weeks.

So or MS sold like hotcakes in the others 8 minor countries (Germany is only country comparable with France) or MS sold crazy numbers in Week 3.

Fell free to disagree and try to show where I'm missing these 800k units... you have one more week of sales to fill the gap.

My conclusion? Brasil sold over 300k sales... better than UK, France, Spain, Germany, etc combined.

And these are OFFICIAL NUMBERS.

That was not really what I was asking, Seece and Pezus answered those questions, but that's interesting anyway. :D

Yeah if those numbers are official then something about the 2m seems abit fishy.

He didn't "confirm" anything. Read what he said, instead of the media's interpretation of it.

Bold: When you have very recent history of "lying" (twice), is it so weird to suspect them of lying again when evidence points towards it?

Serious question. What were those lies by MS? I have missed them.

He's thinking of when MS said 80m in NPD and it was actually in october they passed that (and they've done that before) I assume. But MS clarified the 2m+ was sold to consumers. They have never lied, they've just made something appear what it isn't. In this case there is no room for that.

MS claimed something like "76m shipped/sold" and (I don't remember the exact milestone) and then when the fiscal results came around the shipments were lower than they had claimed earlier by a few hundred K. That is a lie, nothing else (or a bad estimate...), because shipments hadn't even reached that number. That and what you said above.

Again, they didn't lie.

http://www.slashgear.com/microsoft-xbox-360-sees-76m-units-sold-globally-12269019/ 76m Feb 11th. They shipped 75.9m end of Dec 2012. So they were past 76m when they made that statement. It's not lying it's just being deceptive, but hey it's not even that, they said they were at 76m+ shipped, and they were telling the truth at the time of saying it.

Far less deceptive than combining numbers though.

1.8 Xbox One and 2.4 PS4 was for the week ending December 7.
When you add the 300k for each one (xbox one and PS4) that reprensents around what they sold the week ending on the 14th, the numbers go up 2.1 Xbox One and 2.7 PS4.
So I think the 2.1 Xbox One and 2.7 PS4 are for the week ending December 14

I assume that they are. Probably get some more at the start of the year.
