Serious question. What were those lies by MS? I have missed them.

He's thinking of when MS said 80m in NPD and it was actually in october they passed that (and they've done that before) I assume. But MS clarified the 2m+ was sold to consumers. They have never lied, they've just made something appear what it isn't. In this case there is no room for that.

Did you actually read that article? The two points might have been brought together in the same article but no where does Jack Tretton say anything about reaching 3 million by the end of 2013.

You people should stop reading vgchartz if you are just going to complain that your favorite console is undertracked here while all the competing products are overtracked. I'm sure the staff of the site has their reasons for their numbers. You can call them guesstimations but atleast i'm sure they are trying 1000% harder than you to have an accurate guess.

Also... does it really changes your life if a god damn gaming platform is under/over tracked 100k or so?

About the 5m, that's the low end of the prediction, here's what House said about it:

"I’m very confident in the fact that we will sell more than 5 million PS4 by late March 2014,”

I can understand discussing overall market trends like who is clearly selling fastest, who is #2 and so on ...

But some weeks people may argue about a "possibility" for something being under/over tracked as little as 5k~ ... come on. Not even NPD will ever be 100% accurate

66m sales = 65.4m shipped few days after
80m sales = 79.6m shipped two weeks after
