Didn't experience any issues in NY on Christmas Eve. Played 2 hours of Ghosts between 9pm-11pm EST.

Has had issues ever since ps4 launched. My buddies service has been problematic, He owns both consoles. Bought ghost on ps4 first, due to earlier release, Went out and bought it again on xbox one, due to PSN. He's not very happy with the service. I have had no issue with Xbox live. Absolutely smooth. The first time I played my buddy, He kept saying how smooth it was, how nice it was running compared to PSN.

All anecdotal evidence but true.

Only problems psn has been having was on launch and around the holiday. Live was also having problems today along with steam and Nintendo. Don't know if you are just making stuff up but I have never had any problems with PSN on my PS4 so far.

I'd go with making stuff up. As me and my friends play ghost daily. Never had a problem except on day one. PSN been butter smooth, and the party chat actually works.

Party chat and Skype both work on Xbox One.

Yewp, party chat and Skype does work on Xbox One, but not as good as PlayStation's party chat...

Really? Do you get tactile feedback on PS4 party chat because that is the only way that it could be better than Skype on Xbox One.

They're many ways in how PS4 party chat can be better than X1 party chat, and I was talking about connection wise. I should have clarified, so that you knew where X1 chat was inferior to PS4. As to what you stated, I have no clue what tactile feedback is, so care to explain?

@logico
pay no attention to tuscan. skype is yet another service thay you have to pay for on top of live subscription. you get an initial 100 minutes per month for 6 months.
typical xbox argument. compare paid services to free ones.
fact is xbox one dorsnt even have party chat, which is why they are offering skype instead.

Don't feel too bad. Nintendo Eshop has been down for 2 days now. I've been trying to download the Sonic Lost World Yoshi World level for 2 days...no dice.

On the upside, Xbox Live has been working ok for me for the last 2 days. Is this the secret power of the cloud Microsoft has been bragging about all this time? Ability to stay connected for Christmas... :P

I can't connect to anything, that's why I'm hanging out here. Passing the time until I can get back into Killzone SF.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Not even Steam stood up to the Christmas rush once Valve announced Left 4 Dead would be free-for-everyone, that's on top of the Christmas sales rush.
And that network is easily larger and more robust than Live or PSN. (Mostly just Valves authentication servers that took the hit.)

Online is working for me.. but the whole friends list, store, party etc is not.. bit annoying especially with the pay wall now.. just a ton of traffic for Christmas..hopefully it's back to normal soon.

Thanks for the advice and I honestly like a free service than a subscription stacked on top of another subscription service, that doesn't even work as good as the free service in terms of connection.

Yeah not surprising. I for one usually save a few single player games for the christmas period. Depending on XBL/PSN to provide multiplayer entertainment over the holidays is like betting on the Washington Capitals to win the stanley cup. Sure, everything looks promissing during the regular season but the wheels come of as soonas round 1 of the playoffs starts...
