GBA. No competition, SEGA was finally out of the console market and making handheld games and Square-Enix was doing great. Also, 2D games > 3D games. Yes, I said it.

They're all great, I'll say that. They are undoubtedly #1 in handhelds.
I really liked the GBA. I owned the GBA SP, which was a great little handheld. It was also the predecessor to the DS, with its clam shell design.

Though the 3DS seems like it will eventually come out on top, I have to go with the DS for now.
