With that kind of presentation, it can come out as an enjoyable game, aslong as the design is there and the battles are compelling.
I never played a Digimon game, so i dunno how good they are. But, if this comes over, i will take a better look.

Looks like Bamco are actually making quite an effort with this, if it comes west I could certainly be tempted to buy. Never really watched much of the anime, just a few episodes here and there, I though it was pretty good though. Also I owe a lot of my later interest in gaming to the original Digimon Rumble Arena on PS1, so it'd be nice for things to come full circle

Well this game doesn't look anything like the previous titles. |
Sooooo?Dont get me wrong, i like digimon. I'll see if the game is good and if i like it i'll buy it! Pokemon is a heavy competitive game that takes skill and knowledge to learn as it is probably the most complicated game out there. Digimon always will be one of my favorite shows but they killed it later on. I dont kno wat happened to it but it just died off and was never comparible wit pokemon at all.
That said Pokemon Anime was nothing to that of digimon! Hopefully the game is great, We have to see if its released to the west as well

Same. I only liked the fighting games which were kind of like Smash.

Digimon games are a bit more complicated than that.... infact they typically have an annoying learning curve for leveling correctly.

Yeah, I remeber Digimon games not being accessible at all when I was younger. I would buy the games because I love the anime and find myself giving up after a few hours because I don't know what to do. Pokemon games while they do have lots of depth are much more accessible.
Digimon has deeper mechanics when it comes to raising your digimon. Pokemon is pretty straight forward. To get the best potential out of your pokemon is nowhere near as difficult and time consuming as getting the best potential out of a digimon. Alot of that is because of altitude
