Not so big but definitely (imo) has that nostalgia from back into 90s cuz the anime was pretty damn good(much better than pokemon)! I need to see how this game turns out

I'd buy a Vita for this game.
Side note: Agumon really needs to work on his core.

Oh my God!!! I just started getting back into digimon too! I was just searching the psn store if any of the digimon worlds from playstation days. I was even trying to see if I could download the Digimon for PSP from the JP store

Eh, no it wasn't. Pokemon Green & Red were out in Japan in 1996. The original Digimon virtual pet toy wasn't out until 1997.

I mean manga/anime, not games.
Pokemon and Digimon both came out at around the same time and they were both clearly inspired by previous franchises. Neither one invented the "evolving companion" mechanic, so I don't think it much matters.
The basis of Pokemon is the game-play. The basis of Digimon is the story.
On topic, the environments look really good. I need to know more about it, though. However, if Patamon is involved, then it's a must-by for me. Patamon and his evolutions made the anime for me.

I hope this turns out good and comes to the west. It would be a great reason for me to get a vita
Digimon World was the main reason why I picked a ps1 over a nintendo 64 as I really loved the anime(first season is the best, didnt hate the others but they cant compare to the first one)

I'm still struggling to understand the rationale about making this Vita-exclusive. Unless they literally think there's too much competition on 3DS and the game will get buried, then it just doesn't make much sense.
The other reason I've been thinking is that actually a lot of Digimon fans are older gamers who grew up with it, rather than kids who are watching it for the first time.
But I mean, hell. It's a Digimon "story" game. That spinoff series was actually born on the DS!
In any case, cool. If this comes to the west I'll probably pick it up; though I haven't played a Digimon game since the first Digimon World game on PS1.
