Oh, and Ocarina of Time is not scoring nearly as many points as you'd think. Despite being by far the "best" Zelda according to voting here, it must be the fourth best in a lot of categories or something, because discounting points from "Best Game" overall, it is only #2, and is less than ten points ahead of two other titles. So its a close race!

Seems that way, doesn't it? Actualy, the only ones I haven't played were spirit tracks and the CD-I games. 

The first one was a simple classic, but nowhere near as good as virtually every one since it. 

The second had some serious issues, though it was good.  Again, just doesn't compare. 

A Link to the Past was, as you may have noticed, one of my favorites, though I admit the story is pretty weak. 

Ocarina of time was decent, but wholly overrated.  Basically just Link to the PAst with a slightly better story and fewer dungeons

Majora's mask was unique and interesting, but like Zelda II, had some issues and doesn't stand up to later games.

Wind Waker is probably objectively the best game in the series, blending fluid combat, the best story, and a great, timeless art style

Twilight princess is Ocarina of Time with better characters, graphics, controls, and story.  

Skyward Sword was okay, but the story and characters poorly written and the motion controls, sans the swordplay, translated to 'endless minigames'. 

most of the handheld ones were good - great, even - but none really compared overall, save A Link Between Worlds, which is, in my opinion, the best handheld title. (though Minish cap, link's awakening, and the oracle games are all amazing, too)  

Took me a while but here it is. Keep in mind that I didn't mention A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and the Oracle games because it's been a looooong time since I played them; the last time I played the Orcale games was like 6 years ago or something like that. also while making this list I realize how much I liked ALBW.

In retrospect, having a WTF award would have been fun. Hyrule Warriors would have been a contender.
