Well my local GS, EB Games, Wall-Mart, are all sold out. EBgames.ca/gamestop.ca/bestbuy.ca etc are all sold out. Some retailers online say they have stock, but when you call they are sold out. Are you sure your local gamestop has one? The online stock is inaccurate.
Also on eBay you're right, but $500 + tax is about $570 so the upcharge is only $30. For PS4 the upcharge is about $70, clearly there is a higher demand for PS4.
PS4 is cheaper, and that's one reason why it's selling out where XBO is not. What's your arguement? Did you just agree with me inadvertently?

When i went to my local GS (2 days ago) they had 3 ps4's. Several xbox one consoles but i didnt count.
I was just saying that a reason why ps4 is selling better is because it's cheaper. Agree? again that is one reason. You can agree to an extent one reason why people perfer one item over the other is simply because of the price. I am talking about casual gamers that dont know squat about specs. Normally they tend to go towards the cheapest item. I've had friends/non friends ask me what the differences are in both. They dont see why they would pay 100$ more for an xbox when they can get a cheaper console.

I agree that one of the reasons PS4 is selling better is because of the price, yes. That's a model Sony went with where MS made Kinect mandatory.
As for your local GS, that was 2 days ago, and even then the number of PS3's wasn't many. It's probably sold out now, where XBO still has stock. I was just saying that there is no double standard with sales, PS4 was selling poorly last couple weeks because it was sold out. If XBO was sold out and weekly sales were low, I'd say the same thing.

It could have been because of the stock. Who knows how many they had. Microsoft did launch in 13 countries whereas ps4 didn't.

Yea, but you should realize those 20 countries XBO didn't sell in, but PS4 did are small. Denmark, Norway and Finland are only 5-5.5 million each in population, Sweden is 10 million, Switzerland is 8 million. Compare that to 330 million of USA, or the 60-65 million of UK, France, and 45 million in Spain.
Also, just to clarify, if PS4 had more stock, I don't think it would have done that much better. Maybe 5% better for PS4, and 5% less for XBO (I would assume when some people went to the store to see PS4 sold out, they bought an XBO instead).
I think the big thing to take from this though, is PS4 outsold XBO on MS's home turf. PS4 sold better in USA, sold better in UK, and sold better in Australia. I assume Canada too. If Sony can do this, this will hurt MS in the long run, especially if PS4 dominates in EU, Japan, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia
