Just something to think about. While i myself dont see it as derogatory, im also not ginger(in school i had a ginger friend that we would always say his hair was on fire..  that pissed him off more than ginger.). Here in Vancouver we have had a number of star athletes who are "ginger". One of whom was Cory Schneider. On "after-hours" which is a segment after hockey night in canada where they interview a player from the late game. He was asked which nickname he prefers "ginger jesus" or Gingerbricks"

The full quote is a bit longer. He talks about it makes them feel akward and dont know how to really respond to it. He did say it with a smile and was kind of laughing, but he is always a bit of a joker. Not giving a real answer really showed that he doesnt like the term

(also for hockey fans at 9:34 he does an impression of Coach AV (now with the rangers) and at 13:18 he does an impression of burrows. Both are well done, but not as good as his yannick hansen impression

Could be centralized to certain cultures I guess based on the responses here, but - oddly enough - my best friend and girlfriend are both red heads, and they absolutely DO NOT like being called ginger. So at least in Ontario it's definitely a derogatory term for red-heads.

With that said, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the staff here are being prejudiced because it's an option, even though I personally would not have done it that way.  I didn't even know you could pick a hair colour actually..



It's all about the game.

It is equal parts magic and equal parts science. When you click reply, on the bottom right there is there icon for "Insert/edit embedded media". Click on that and enter the url of youtube video and click insert. That should do it for the most part. Remember to refresh the page as sometimes the video doesn't show up. 

There is also this "http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/youtube_xhtml/" website that helps to embed videos. Ask Wright for instructions as to how if you get confused.
