I think the behavior of many African Americans are "setting them back" but it's certainly not one man. If one's idea of being ahead or behind is how white they act then I'd say that if Obama really does have a gift for bullshit, of telling people he will do one thing and then doing the opposite, of looking out for his own interests, and getting people to do something stupid while convincing them it's for their own good then he's about as white as any other politician in our government.

During the shut down we just went through (btw we have had many other shutdowns over the history of this country) he and the senate democrats declined each and every offer the republicans gave to keep the national parks and monuments open and on a case by case basis to fund just about every aspect of the government.

He did however start an illegal war with NO input from the Congress (right after he was awarded a Nobel Peace prize at that), took over a private company (GM) screwed over those who were actually supporting the company by investing in it, and after was all said and done cost tax payers $10 billion in losses, and has presided over one of the slowest economic recoveries in American history.

I could go on all day really but the bottom line is Barack Obama has been an ineffectual leader and a disaster as the POTUS.

 


He couldn't have gotten the Super Majority vote, and therefore couldn't get that much done anyways.

The nuclear option was only recently done, earlier this year.

Being a none-American, can you elaborate what he's done wrong?

My perspective was the cards he was dealt meant there was no real right decision, just damage limitation, such as by the economic crysis.

He's basically being blame for the problems America has had since 2008 & earlier.

Also, he is being blame for not getting things done, that can only be done with a Super-Majority (60% to 66.6%), and he is being blame for not passing things thru a Republican control Democracy.

He was being blame for not addressing Gun Control until after major news coverage of a certain recent school shooting, but then the Majority of politicians of the House voted against a single piece of new legislation, even though 90% of Americans wanted it passed, and then we Americans realize why he didn't try Gun Control sooner, because none of it can get pass with the current other Politicians in power.
