Why do people make such a big deal out of this? Was he supposed to make the competing consoles look better than his own? It's simple buisness really, nothing newsworthy.

Some of y'all are taking his comments to heart when they are just standard business practice lol. I saw nothing wrong with what he said and he even congratulated both console on a successful launch. Fall back. You guys are too close to this.

I'm not sure what people expect Reggie to say, " Ya, the Ps4 and X1 will probably kick our ass....but here is Super Mario 3D World!!!" It was just typical PR talk that any of the companies would have said.

I will say their "reveal" was very underwhelming. Seriously, anything else would have been much better than Cranky Kong.

If by eclipse, you mean 3rd party software that can be found not only on last gen hardware but PC as well. Then by all means, let the Wi U sit in the shade but don't think for a second that anything Microsoft or Sony will do software-wise can hold a candle to what Nintendo is capable of.

Meh. not sure why people care one way or another. what he said about the new consols is harkly surprising and pretty much whatyou would expect. youwould exc thesame sort of thing from Shu and Phil hen speaking about thir competition (taking int account the different situations their consoles are in of course).
