Forums - Sony - Is PS+ really that great? (PS+ vs Netflix)

I've started using PS+ since the announcement of the PS4, and thanks to PS+ I've played over 12 games so far without really paying for them. Each game would have cost me 20-50 dollars on Vita, PSP, and PS3.

I downloaded Grid 2, and I bought Defiance for $2.50 lol.

What a stupid comparison! Let's compare the 3DS's bad sales to the iPhone's, they both have screens.

I think PS+ vs. Netflix isn't a good comparison. Let's try Ford cars vs. Apple MP3 players, that's a good one.

Bit of a harsh way to put it. But I agree.

I love my PS plus subscription I've gotten some really cool games that I would've never had otherwise. like machanariam, the cave, knytt underground, Miami hotline, deathspank one and two, plus all of the triple a titles.

Cost differentials and medium differentials really change this thread into something else...

gotta love the post and run bait thread you all fell for

It is crazy worth it. Simple as that.

You have free game with Netflix?

Why would you compare a video rental service to a game rental service? Very different amounts a entertainment each medium provides.

You may have made your case by comparing console gaming services with PC gaming services, and perhaps PC gaming offers a lot more flexibility and in general a lower price for games. But even then PS+ holds its own with the amount of games it offers. For a console gaming service, it is certainly the best and I'm glad it exists. PS+ is offering us amazing value for the money it costs.
