Forums - Nintendo - Digital Foundry vs SM3DWorld. Those framerate drops...

I must've missed that announcement. I think I've also seen some people recently making fun of PS4One (One more so), because Mario was 1080p60fps and many exclusives on PS4One are not (One more so).

Looks good though

well, Mario is in 1080p. Mario Kart that is :P

Terrible title, since the whole point was the frame rate doesn't drop, your title makes it sound like there's an issue.

Not impressed. It is a Mario game. Did anyone seriously think that this game would run at only 30FPS? Let us compare the looks of this game vs Ryse, or Killzone or crap EVEN COD Ghosts is a better looking game. No offense but Mario doesn't exactly push the boundaries of graphics.

I'd much rather have a great looking artstyle and 60 FPS.

Hahaha. Nice title. Almost had me for a second there.

People saying that the game could have ran 60FPS on wii or even on PS360 have obviously not played the game. These posts, especially the ones saying that galaxy looks better, are borderline troll posts.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Those framerate drops are nowhere to be seen, all while running at a super smooth 60fps.

A game that could easily run on the Wii aside from being in HD, I sure hope it could run at 60fps.

Here's an image of Super Mario Galaxy upscaled to 720p on the Dolphin Emulator.  If comparing to the Wii and not an upscaled image, resolution aside, Super Mario Galaxy looks a whole hell of a lot better than Super Mario 3D World.

Not at all, Super Mario 3D World looks way better, maybe I'm the only one whose played it.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly.

In turn, the Wii wasn't as horrible as a console for graphics after all. Interesting!

It looks really good, but I don't have a Wii U! Maybe one day.

When Mario goes into a box and is transported to another box elsewhere in the level, is this essentially just a loading screen?
