Forums - Sales - Vita outsold by Wii on BF. Sony, send us a message!

Ouch.
Vita seems a lost cause in the US.
It's salvation lies in Europe and Japan.

It would help if Sony advertised the damn thing in the US. At least last year the Vita had a marketing campaign for COD and even Madden. I haven't seen a single Vita ad since this time last year. The only thing good about these numbers is that percentage wise, it had a larger increase than nearly all the other consoles.

That's what happens when you put no effort into your product.

Indeed they are; it's cheap, and it has a large and appealing library.

How is that even possible, pezus? The Vita just received its killer app: PS4 remote play. If the PS4 took off, the Vita should fly too.

PS4 is supply constrained in USA, that must be it. PS4 was low too on BF. They seem directly connected.

if this was half true then explain NoA FW sales :P

Sony and Nintendo really would be a perfect fit as partners, lol. They're both really good in areas the other is weak in (consoles/handhelds/software styles/etc.).

Sorry but I am not sure how anyone can honestly come to that conclussion. Wii U is already outselling PS4 in the US. The Wii stomped the PS3 last generation.

Nintendo has much higher software sales then Sony

The list of highest rated games of all time is dominated by Nintendo

In what real, fact based manner is Sony better than Nintendo at anything?

Serious question because in any way that matters, the numbers speak for themselves.

1. That's funny considering PS4 is supply constrained in US and has already sold more than Wii U in just 3 weeks compared to 11 months.

2. Exclusives yes, not total software for consoles, Sony consoles always have more for home consoles, excluding PS3 and Wii because of Wii sports/resort and the install base.

3. Sony also has a bunch of high rated and loved games.

4. Another reason is Sony makes better hardware.

Hey 156k controllers in a week is pretty good (complain to Sony if you disagree with this post).

Says the guy with a WW HD artwork :D

I'm sorry, but this is original Wind Waker artwork, as shown by the lack of HD behind "Wind Waker" in the picture. And since Sony themselves don't bother to market the Vita as anything but a PS4 controller I actually was serious.

EDIT: Also, I agree. WiiU does sell terrible

Maybe serious but also wrong, if Sony would makret the Vita as a PS4 controller, they wouldnt release game or ask for games on it.

There is a good amount of games coming in 2014 on Vita, a good part is first party

Ahem, third party games obviously don't count here. And which games has Sony announced for the Vita in 2014 so far? I think I may have heard something about a GoW Vita, but I'm not even sure if was just a rumor since I haven't seen a single picture of it. That's all that comes to me when thinking of Vita 1st party games 2014. What did I miss?

Its the US. All americans see in front of them is tablet and iphone fads. We have to wait until that bubble bursts.

People seem to forget the Vita was selling 5k a week in the Us this year. Those numbers are amazing.
