that would make sense.............. if PS4 did release in rest of the world, that is. |
it has released officially in Brasil, so certainly other countries in america must have gotten it.

You're too late, some have been doing this for quite some time already! There was even a guy who suggested that the PS4 be compared to the 3DS instead of the Wii U, "star against star" was his logic.
But, yeah, I remember the "Sony family" back in the day, such times!
I'm gonna throw this out there cause its beeing ignored.
Those Xbox1 sales in europe. If thats not a sell out (and that would mean microsoft only released 400k units for europe), its extremely weak for second week. I'm curious to see the following weeks because the X1 is looking like a one region console.
Ok see you next week but this stock's stories make me so so
It's sad the vita can't find traction. It would never beat the 3DS, but I would hope it could sell enough (like the PSP did) to be profitable and supportable. Looks like there will be no hope for portable gaming for me in a few years. I refuse to play on the 3DS and phones so I may have to drop portable gaming altogether.
Well looks like X1 will hold NA, albiet by a lesser margin then last gen.
WiiU numbers going up....people not impressed by this? Gonna be hard for X1 to take 2nd if this becomes a trend
pezus said: No, the real alternative is that they wanted to focus on the West so MS couldn't get a lead there. MS is irrelevant in Japan so it won't matter when Sony launch the PS4 there. WiiU sales are good at 570k this year, while Vita's are a problem at 1.01m... |
3DS sales are at 4.16 million. Vita's sales are a problem for Sony. And my comparison to Wii U has to do with current sales rate.
Let me put it another way - the Wii U was selling at like 3,000 units a week for a significant period of time in Japan, and it's still at more than half of the Vita's sales.
And I'm sorry, but the argument that Sony did it so that they could "focus on the West" just doesn't add up. Beyond the fact that having "the lead" is completely irrelevant from a business standpoint, there's the fact that the PS4 is even launching in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and India in 2013... and still, Japan isn't getting it until 2014. Are you telling me that Sony is worried about the Xbox One getting a lead in India and Saudi Arabia?

About NA, we should wait to see how PS4 will perform in the future without the supply problem. I got to say I wasn't convainced by this "supply stories", but every shop I go PS4 is sold out. I know PS4 will be sucessful but not that much...

Pretty sure most of that 3DS adjustment was for Europe. It also created a huge discrepancy.
Look at LTD European 3DS sales at the end of June. Now look at LTD European 3DS sales the next week, and compare them to the supposed weekly sales of ~50k.
