Forums - Sony - Will PS Vita ever get a Monster Hunter title or is it Nintendo 3DS' forever?

Well as you can see Sony has lost Monster Hunter which was a big title back in PS2 and PSP's glory days. It would have helped VIta sales if Sony secured it, but now it will never return. Monster Hunter is now more of a handheld title and 3DS seems to have a strong grip on it. Capcom's excuse is that they can't develop on the same platform forever so they switched. However, this switch seems to be permanent. What do you think? Also don't mention Frontier G, it's not worth it.

They will get Monster Hunter 4... in 5 years... in Japan only...

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I think so. It'll most likely be Japan only.

I'd bet on it, yeah. It seems to be Capcom's plan to get the MonHun brand all over the place but only on one platform at a time. I think we'll see a HonHun Portable announced for the Vita within the next two years. They're going to milk the brand as heavily as they possibly can.

When will they release monster hunter 4? In the us?

Why bother? Vitas barely selling any where WW. Why waste $ when 3DS not only has the base and brand recognition already its also cheaper to develop for.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

This was such a BS excuse, it was obvious that they chose 3DS because of cheaper development and they could reuse PSP assets and not have it look like ass. As for MonHun on Vita we at least got that online one -_-  Yeah I cant see it coming back, Nintendo have done well to get games like MonHun and DQ exclusive to their platforms. Now they have to do the same with the west if they want sales of WiiU to do better

MH5 will be on smartphones.

Capcom is already investing all the MH4 profits into their new mobile department.

That's Capcoms special ability after all; Milkin' the Cow!

Any way that Capcom can squeeze the life out of this series, they'll do it.
