I wouldn't be so quick to give sony any credit for the sucess of dvd's or blu-rays. Video games are far from the center of what those things are used for. What was promised with the blu ray on the ps3 was never achived. they never maxed out the disc to make those ultimate content games they promised. And when a sizable game was finally made, a mandatory install was required. so the game stil ran off the hard drive. even now blu-ray disc only save the companies monry on extra dvd's they would need to store content because everything is a mandatory install. The diference beween now and then is the cost of the tech has become cheaper to use. |
I don't know what you're trying to prove at all. Sony proved everything they needed to about Blu Ray. The difference between buying a Blu Ray movie and a DVD is big when it comes to content, visuals and experience. This is where bias gets in the way so I will end this here. Kinect has done nothing for gaming and Sony knew it wouldnt because they created the tech just in a simplistic form compared to what you see with the Kinect. They know it wont be anything more than glorified multimedia gesture and voice tool unless you like minigames.
The only reason more content isnt on the disc doesn't negate its potential. You can put multiple games on one Blu Ray.
