Any successful console launch makes me happy.
More competition, better experience for all us gamers. :)

Bingo!

Even hardcore Sony fans should realize Playstation hardware and games wouldn't be as ambitious without MS pushing them so hard.

I'm glad its doing well. all of the PS4 selling 5:1 stuff has, to date, been proven untrue. The demand for both is still there. To paraphrase a quote from Sony, "The first few million will buy it with no games" so it's not entirely unexpected. It's what Sony and Microsoft do with their momentum that will decide how the gen plays out.

I most happy that gamers were willing to forgive Microsoft. It just goes to show that when a company listens to consumers, consumers respond in kind.

I think its too early to tell. The Wii U sold 3 millions in the christmas season. I wouldnt hurry to calling it a sucessful launch yet. Its all gonna go down in the next few weeks to see how the market will respond.

Majority of people not happy that the Xbox One is doing well. Pretty much tells you everything you need to know about this site.

I'm not happy with the success of the Xbox launch, I'm also not mad, I'm just netural. This isn't a sprint, if either of these consoles pull Wii U numbers (which I doubt), no one will remember about any of this. So it's best to judge the success of these consoles in 2014 in my opinion.

My thoughts exactly, it's sad and/or pathetic that people are that unhappy when a part of their hobby is doing well so far and hasn't been the massive failure some "predicted" it would be, they can't just be happy with their own consoles success.  It's like the failure of the ONE is what gets them out of bed in the morning.

Pretty much. A lot of short sighted people who don't understand how good competition is. Hell, just look at the Xbox One. If their only competition were stop gap Wii U, we'd still be getting the "DRM box" GAF hated so much.

Anyone wishing for a console to fail, in my view is not a gamer in any sense. For a gamer, the experience should be the most important thing, and then you should only be happy that others can have their own, unique experiences. Those hoping for the failure of X1 only show that they live on the competitions mistakes, not their preferred consoles own merits.

I think alot of people want MS to leave and/or fail because they believe they're bad for gaming as a whole. Whether that's fair or not, is another debate but that's what I see most of the time.

Yeah I am happy too, I hope all the consoles sell at least 30m. 3DS already did. Hurry up vita, Xbox One, Wii U, PS4!
