In a way yes because sony will continue to make top class exclusives in fear of losing to xbox.
on the other hand MS will be there to make turn third party games into exclusive every now and then and continue to enforce the timed exclusive strategy that divides gamers....and that bad habit has sadly spread to sony now as well.

Well, with microsoft having built of a ton of studios of their own in a process that largely began during the x360 generation, I'm sure we'll see the results this generation.

After all, microsoft did get into the console business a good while and oen generation after sony entered.  Seeing a top-class team like 343i built from the ground-up by microsoft, I'm fairly confident they can do the same with their other studios.

its actually the opposite that happened.

They let go of bungie, they shut down ACES, disbanded Ensemble studios.

I really hope they change but they launched with dead rising going exclusive when it used to be a multiplatform and got plants v zombies garden warfare as a timed exclusive... so far nothing has changed.

Forza is a nice exclusive and were all expecting halo, but apart from that their first party must be working on kinect stuff since they have a point to prove after insisting that everyone should have it. Do you think they are going to settle for that? I dont, I think they will go out and buy more multiplatforms and convert them to exclusives, or atleast timed exclusives, and sadly sony will react to this and do the same.
