ONE wins where it counts so far.

Better games and a far better UI and integrated system.

I expect hardware reviews to follow software reviews and favour ONE.

ONE is simply a better and more coherent system with real next gen features.

I might agree with you ordinarily but the user he quoted is notorious for re-posting comments by other users in the exact same way.  That's why this was amusing.

As far as the scores, it sounds about right.  Both consoles shipped with a lot of missing features.  Somewhere around the 8 mark seems appropriate.

Not that a numerical score really means anything when dealing with hardware.  The text of the reviews will, as always, be a lot more meaningful.

Oh man Kinect recognizing when you aren't holding the controller and shutting it off. For me that is an amazing feature. No longer will my 11 year old set my controller down and leave it, running the battery down.

Seems the negative things for both consoles are things that can be fixed. So 2 good consoles, good for gamers.

scott lowe has always been a pretty biased playstation fanboy

at one point last gen he wrote on IGN that one reason PS3 was superior hardware was because it could do 3D games and X360 couldn't...of course that was completely factually false and showed his incredible lack of tech knowledge.

PS4 is more about Gaming and its innovations, where xbox one is all about home Entertainment and its innovations. If people want more games with new IP's and innovative gameplay then PS4 is the choice, if people want voice recognition and better TV control along additional gaming support then Xbone one is the choice.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

So just because an article is approved for print doesn't mean that is the general feeling at the company. It actually doesn't have anything to do with each other. To say this article represents what IGN think as a whole is 100 percent wrong. And so is what you said.
