Hard numbers to believe. If you notch it down about 200k- sounds right.
But who knows. CoD is...cod. I still can't fathom why so many people dig the franchise anymore.

Probably because it's fun. Shocking I know. :L

I can also confirm that Call of Duty is fun. No, I'm not one of the typical dudebro casual gamers that people tend to associate with CoD, I'm a core gamer who likes all types of games.

Same here!

Madden is actually selling pretty poorly right now campared to the last 2 years and Battlefield 4 campared to 3 right now is a total flop. AC4 is doing alright but considering that it is a much better game then 3 and it wont overtake it in sales, that shows a downwards trend. Even the new Batman was a flop compared to the old ones. Honestly I dont know if that means the Wii U will beat the other consoles out, but it does mean that Sony and Microsoft better start pumping out some new great IP or they are going to have issues moving consoles.

I know I haven't bought a PS4 to play Knack or Killzone: SF, but didn't Knack had enough negativity already (Call me a fanboy, but I am not actually, while I do prefer Sony's consoles than Microsoft and Nintendo, with the exception of the Nintendo 64, Microsoft and Nintendo, well mostly Nintendo for me anyways, can offer some high quality games I could keep playing for months). Lets just move on and let Sony decide what to do with Knack, okay.

Hopefully this is not a sign of the PS4 future. I don't want it to become a shooterbox.

You mean like Knack n Ryse lawlz! But seriously, Sony n Microsoft are new IP machines so you don't have to worry about that, and all those games listed in your post are third party games, not Sony's or Microsoft's. And I only said that those games are selling well enough, so much so that PS4 n XB1 were able to sell 1 million in no time at all. They'll also sell enough to give the PS4 (and maybe XB1) the edge over Wii U in the long run once third partys are fully on board the 8th gen ship.

A lot of the average USA gamer jumped ship from X360 to the PS4, the average american gamer is a shooter adict, thats why CoD sold like hotcakes on the PS4.

Even worst, the TOP 3 of PS4 were COD, BF4 and KZ:SF.
So there are people out there with 3 shooters...

I don't expect FPS to die, just COD. They do minimal tweaks to the game and people accept to pay 60 bucks for it. Not only it is expensive, but it kills your last CoD multiplayer pool, since everyone goes to the next. This industry can get very odd at times.

Well i suppose that it is still better than paying to get a new FIFA roster...

Your system is whatever you want it to be.

Well, it would probably be more fun than Killzone, lol.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Looks like Sony fans just got a cold hard splash of reality... like it or not, COD is a system seller. Were you honestly expecting any of the PS4 exclusives to do numbers like that? Killzone was never that big of a shooter series, Knack is a joke, and the rest of the retail launch lineup consists of ports of current-gen games.

Call of Duty selling your system is a cold reality lol? I sure bet Nintendo would love to have CoD's system selling ability.

COD was/is a system mover for the Xbox and PlayStation platforms both this gen and last.  Nintendo's audience is not the same as COD's target audience... hence the reason why BLOPSII and Ghosts have sold abysmally on the Wii U, despite both being stellar ports and offering all the same features as their PS360 counterparts.

Even quality non-FPS 3rd party titles like Assassin's Creed 4 have sold a mere fraction on Wii U of what their PS360 counterparts sell.  Loyal Nintendo fans always complain about the lack of third party support on their consoles, but the fact is they never ever put their money where their collective mouths are when push comes to shove.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
