Lol, they arent going to have the supply for that. Sony thinks they are going to sell 3 million by january and 5 million by march. Im sure they would have raised their estimates quite a but if they could reach the 3 million figure by the second week
now, if they had supply, they could probably sell that much, personally, I think it will be less than a million. Ps4 is only in one black friday ad, so it isnt going to be widely available this week, and europe will get less than north america did.

nor enough demand.
I think a lot of people are overestimating europes numbers. My prediction is that sony blew most of their load on north america in attempt to gain early traction over microsoft. I think europes shipments are going to fall somewhere between 500-700k. I could be wrong, but that is my prediction.

There might be. If sony actually had supply available in north america (looks like they wont looking at the black friday ads) there would be a huge demand for them this week and europe is probably their strongest territory...
How can it if its sold out in America for the next 4 months?

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

I agree. considering the suposed 24k sales for ghosts in UK opening (before the console lunch), it may have sold between 100 and 150k in europe. if we consider that as about a forth of the ps4 owners, it does put Europe launch in the 500k-700k range.

ill keep looking, but all i can find is sites saying in june components are shipped, and august reports its in production. I just considered it started june/july since thats when they started getting all the components, but its true they may not have officially started until august, so i miss spoke. still it has been in production for a while and any units in stores now and sold this weekend were built well before 2-3 weeks ago. |
wait a second, you say that Sony is wasting money by renting warehouses for the accomodation of around 1million consoles? yeah, that doesn't sound good right. they need to get rid of those consoles as soon as possible, so the batch that is going to be sod on black friday was completed maybe 1 day before is shipped. You think this kind of sales are planned to maintain a steady flux of products month after month by storing units? thay need to sell it in quantities of a million maybe, but they are not going to seat over 2 million on warehouse to get rid of 1 million first, then the next month sell the other million. that is lost money renting the space on the warehouse.
the production of this kind of products start slow because nobody know what is going to be the real demand, how much are sold the first day. then they start buidlig a process where the increments are small until a quantity is remained in stores. after that there is no more increase in manual labor to increase manufacturing.
It's possible. But it won't happen because the supply just isn't there
