So Sony just a few weeks ago says 3 million by end of year. They only ship around a 1 million in launch week and you guys honestly believe they have a spare 2 million to ship for week 2? nothing about that makes sense. They would either need to have held back on one of the most competitive territories for themselves (US) or managed to manufacture 1 million plus in a week. If they could ship 2 million they would sell, but the maths and logic just doesn't add up.

If they shipped enough units to sell 2 million in W/E 30 Nov then yes they will sell 2 million. But considering 1 million opening day in NA, plus another week's sales in NA it's hard to imagine they have produced enough PS4s to meet that demand AND have enough supply to sell decent numbers through December and especially in the final week before Christmas.

I think 1.5 million for the week tops, due to supply management / limitations.

I really think that those sales estimates by Sony were purposely given very low. If they had a million pre-orders, how could they sell only 3 million by the end of the year? That is extremely conservative. How will Sony look if they project 3 million and sell 5 million? Pretty good I would say. Sony stock would skyrocket which is just what they need.
