Its called logistics. All the consoles we are seeing now were produced months ago. The consoles being made now are for Japan launch and post holidays replenishment. When see gap after cmas of 4 to 6 weeks it because they expedited distrobution to get all of the consoles to market. The Wii did this in Holiday 06, 07, 08.Itwas not til 09 they had enough stockpile to not do this. This notion they are instantly relalocating is ignorant. They knew where they were allocating systems since they stopped preorders afew months back. I do logistics for a living so Iknow how these processes work

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
