I seem to be experiencing a problem with my X1! I can't get the update at all! It must be because it's still out for delivery!!! Ohhh now I see the problem!

have fun guys! still no clue when i will buy mine. if there won't be many news about broken consoles and if some of my friends will buy one earlier as i thought (just saw that two bought one today and i didn't know they will), it could be sooner than later but the games won't run away and will get maybe better with some patches or additional content so that i think next year is early enough for forza and dead rising. 

btw just read that fifa 14 has some bugs so that you shouldn't do some stuff. here is what you should know:

EA has posted a notice on its website about these two errors. The first it has dubbed the “controller bug.” If you’ve got two controllers connected, with both assigned to a different profile you could end up with a crash. This typically occurs when the second controller is used to navigate menus.

The other bug deals with suspending the game on the title screen. Should you do that or let the console become inactive, online features will be disabled until the system goes through a reboot.

Other crashes can occur in a co-op match when one captain has a custom formation set and the other does not. Additionally, there is a problem with gifting the Seasons Win item in EA Sports FC. Voice command improvements are also coming.

Hey, got home and hooked it up.

Hardware:

Who the hell told me that this console would be gigantic? It is not. Actually it has the perfect seize IMO.

On the bottom left you can see the Xbox One. On the right side is my receiver for the Bose soundsystem.

So no, it is not as huge as I thought it would be. The design is just fine, especially for the Kinect sensor.

OS:

We all know the Xbox One will get better as time passes by. The OS and the features are pretty awesome already. Again I read that the voice controls would not work. That is BS. They work great, the whole OS is such a great experience and I used it for 2 hours. So many great possibilities for the future. Skype is soooo awesome with Kinect!

Games:

I spent not enough time with it yet, because I only played CoD Ghosts for an hour. Please be aware that most of the games require a very big patch. CoD Ghosts was about 1.3 GB and when you insert the disc, it says: Installing. This can take a while, because the first 0-5% is for the download. So it says "installing" but it is actually "downloading". I bet 99% of the faulty reports are because of that from 6% on it actually installed the game and it took me less time to get to 30% when I was able to play the game. The rest of the install happens in the backgorund and you won't even notice.

Ryse was actually playable after I reached 5%, but I will save this one for tomorrow. Just like Dead Rising 3 and Fifa 14.

Positives:

- It is soooo quiet! I played pretty much every major disc based console since the PS1 and not one of them was soooo quiet. You have to concentrate REALLY hard to hear it.

- great apps already!

-  No yield issues !

Negatives:

- Games do have a day one patch.

Yes, AND I bough a bunch of Doctor Who's on Xbox, and they came through just great and look beautiful on the new Xbox Video on Xbox One.

Ps, tried out 'Xbox On' after setting my my TV and Reciever - worked perfectly the very first time.  Even my Harmony remote couldn't do that.

I got my Xbox One delivered by Walmart by the time I go home and was able to get it set up and patched with no problems. It's now occupying the spot next to the PS3 and the 360 slim is now moved to the office. I also didn't think the box was huge as everyone says - yes it is bigger than the 360 slim but not by that much. The build quality does seem to be very good. In fact Kinect seems very solid compared to the old kinect.

Really like the apps and seems like more are appearing as the night passes. Nothing in the Live Arcade games yet though. So far loving the user experience but it would have been nice if there was a tutorial that walks you through the first time instead of trying to fumble your way around.

Love the new Xbox Fitness module. I am so surprised they ddn't hype this up on Ellen or Opra. This is actually an amazing app and it's free for a year.

One thing that I found out is a problem (unless it is me) is the voice chat... seems to not work! I couldn't have a conversation in party chat whether with someone on X1 nor on 360. There's also no way to send a voice message like on the 360 - just a text message. Maybe they are still trying to resolve some launch kinks.

Now have to head out to get some games. Any suggestions?
