I am waiting for two years before buying a PS4. I will get one when its price drops and a good library of games become available. Uncharted 4, GTA 6, GT 7, Metal Gear Solid V and God of War 5, etc. In two years time around 30 million PS4s will have been sold. Two years is plenty of time to catch up and play 7th generation games that I own. I will purchase and play through more 7th generation games before upgrading to an 8th generation console system. I have no interest in either Wii U or XBox One their game libraries do not appeal to me at all.

Why would you buy Ryse?!

Anyway bad luck :-/ hope you'll be able to get your PS4 soon.

You know, some people may enjoy Ryse, but i respect your opinion on the game

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Sounds familiar

But yes for the foreseeable future Sony will utterly dominate globaly

Surely the fact that there is no stock still March just means that more people are going to get Xbox Ones. Sony needs to make more PS4s

The "no stock til march" thing happens at every launch. They say that to avoid customers waiting and calling constantly. They will probably still see some come back in in January some time, but they won't go through distribution centers, they will come via fedex/ups/whatever is local for shipping. When stock starts to exceed demand again, they will go back to the distribution centers.

It is near the end of the end....

Not a surprise, australia and new zealand are sony dominated area's.

Haven't been this gen, particularly aus, 360 was dominant for a long time, which wasn't too suprising given ps3 started at $999 versus $499/$649 for the 360. Not sure if ps3 has even caught up yet.

You sure about that? i'm pretty sure the PS3 has been dominating the au and nz charts since 2010, infact the PS3 has been the #1 selling console for 3 years in a row, Surpassing the wii and 360 a while ago.

And i'm from australia.. btw

is that neccessary?

What is said is related to the thread. What is your issue?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

No new supply until March is bad news for gamers who want to become early adopters of the PS4. In 4 months time we will see more games become available for the PS4. Early adopters of a new console are usually the most devoted fans and people with lots of money to throw down on the latest toy.

Missing out on sales by not having enough stock to meet demand.
Artificially increasing demand for a product by running a limited supply.
The risk of not having enough stock is that Sony's competitors Wii U and XBox One will be picked up by parents for their children for Xmas instead. The 7th generation systems at cheaper price points will be bought instead by low to middle income families.

Good to see demand for the ps4. I live in aus, ordered one, already had a confirmation call to say I'll get one on launch day but thinking of holding off...I want one but I can wait. ( not trying to be cool or anything, just that my circumstances have changed since I preordered)...feel bad when I read about people who can't get one til march but at least if I cancel someone more appreciative might get it. I should buy it and try to sell it to some rich brat but I hate it when people do that!
Saw a display model at Harvey Normans yesterday. Controllers felt mighty nice.
