Yep.  It's the reason I bought a Dreamcast.  I wanted "Next gen" and I wasn't gonna wait months to experience it.

I found out.  My nephew got a PS2 at launch.  I had a friend that worked at Wal-Mart and I STILL couldn't get a PS2, even though I gave him the money.  He just came back with a copy of SSX and no console.  I wanted to punch him in the face.  If memory serves, after bragging to my nephew about how Shenmue had better graphics than any PS2 game, they announced that Sega was quitting the console business on CNN.  They also dropped the price $100 right after I bought it!

Everyone has got different tastes in games. You should leave people alone just because they dont agree with everything you do. 

Well was he not commenting on someone being disspointed with a game? So he said its your own fault to them and you didnt like it because you think that you might like the game. I said think and might because you have not played it yet. 

This is absolutely ridiculous on Sony's end..they should at least be able to match demand..so dissapointed..that company just makes too many stupid decisions.

That's what I meant, although we got one way before that after finding out how easy it was to play CD-Rs on it :P I guess I didn't have any profound concern about it's long term future.

As for the PS2, what can I say, you hate what you don't have, I remember trying to convince everyone that the Gran Turismo 3 ads were all CGI parlour tricks.

I just assumed that you never played it based on the fact that you said you cant wait to play it later this afternoon. You probably ment continue to play it.

If I played it I would probably like it. Many games I have played and loved just to find out it only scored 4 on meta. I think reviewers are being harsh with both consoles in general. With Ryse though the combat does seem a bit tiresome. Another thing going against ryse is general is that crytek have never managed to create a fun game. Decent enough for a launch game thought. Knack comes under the same shit. 

I am sure both would have been very good games had they been delayed 2-3 months.
