+1. The more we defend these companies for their sub-quality products, the more of it we will get.
Only one 15 pages thread on NeoGaf. I think it´s is relaiable, considering MS is shipping almost 50% more unities WW than Sony last week.
Damn, Microsoft is REALLY pushing digital hard aren't they? XD
Seriously, though, hope this gets fixed soon.

THANK YOU!
+1 to you as well for saying it out loud.
Don't reward 'em when they're feeding you crap.

Words from the Official VGChartz Idiot
WE ARE THE NATION...OF DOMINATION!
Maybe this too will reach .4% of the consoles....
It is near the end of the end....
Wait a minute!
If you think about how the Xbox One was supposed to function, maybe this isn't a flaw at all?
Maybe it was deliberately designed to destroy the disk after the game was installed, to prevent you from trading it in?
...and there we thought they had some elaborate software DRM in place.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Oh is that true? Well I take back the "shame on Nintendo" comment I made in response to JoetheBro then. In no other industry would customers accept brand new things being broken right out of the box. I don't care if it costs $100. It should work as advertised. So Wii U lives up to the Nintendo Seal of Quality after all. John Lucas |
I don't think it was that clear cut between manufacturer error and user error. That day one patch was so slow I can see why people might unplug the console thinking it had bricked. Plus a Nintendo console being the first to launch requiring a patch out of the box? Not a Seal of Quality moment.

The day one patch would only lead to bricking if power was cut during the installation phase (several mins).
Disconnecting power during the download phase (this was the phase that took forever) was no issue, it would just resume after powering on again.
All 3 next-gen consoles required a day one update, I see it as a sign of the times, and a feature that will likely be present for all future console launches from now on. The Wii U was at least functional without the update, needing it only for online services and Wii backwards compatibility.
