This is the original post, before they changed it to be a bit less confrontational.

Yeah, no way they're refering to PS3 there, lol. Not that I really care. M$ can take it. After all, they've done even worse with their Surface vs iPad commercials and anti Gmail spiel.

Didn't know that, still, I don't really care. It was a bit of a cheap shot, but they're still advertising an advantage of their system, rather than blowing a load of hot air.

True.

How gullible do you think people are? Moments before the Xbox One launches Sony pushes out a tweet about 1080p vs 720P that they were referring to the PS3. Good that some Sony execs corrected what others did, but Sony still did it.  Would also notice that MS had a nice image ready to congratulate Sony and Sony  executives did not.  So I am sure that was an oh crap what we did was rather tacky. Lets do damage control.

An "oh crap" like this recent one?

You are comparing what a marketing people are saying to what some Fanboys are saying that the company said.  Lets just be honest about this. MS took a time out in the competition to wish Sony well with the launch. Sony didnt initially reciprocate and that is all this is about.

"[...] to what some fanboys are saying the company said."

Please, elaborate on what you mean there.

As for Sony not reciprocating... They should have congratulated MS for their launch... before the XBox One launched?

The Fanboys are going well Sony wasnt talking about the Xbox One. They were talking about the PS3.  So how gullible do you think we are to believe these people in these forums.

Moments before launch Someone at Sony posts this tweet (that later is removed).  I didnt know the congratulations technically had to happen once all regions had actually started selling the consoles for it to be OK.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Sorry, it must be because I'm tired. But your comment makes little sense to me.

Thread should be closed honestly.

I posted a story from Kotaku.  Why am I getting bashed as if I'm the one that said they were showing a lack of class initially?

its the reason you posted, which is very obvious. you arent fooling anyone. This threads goal is to flaimbait other users. its obvious the article is full of bullshit, kotaku posted it to get hits. but why did you post it?

Because I thought some of the PS fans, like in the comments on Kotaku, would be disappointed and demand better of Sony's representatives (which was fortunately showed later, most likely due to bad PR).

And there is nothing factually wrong about the article.  Nothing.  Several respectable PR reps from Sony reciprocated the congrats later, and that was classy and awesome.  Doesn't change what Kotaku called out though.

Oh, and many in the thread need to remember this:  http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5736361

Yoshida is not a PR rep.

Boues is a PR rep

Major Nelson is a PR rep.

I agree. Nintendo is the only one who has any type of heart.

you actually expect me to believe that nonesense? there is nothing actually wrong with the picture sony posted, as it does represent the truth. most games on the PS4 are 1080p while they are not on the xbox one. however sony did remove it just after 20 minutes. do you want me to dig up every cheap shot MS, sony or nintendo took at each other? because there would be a whole lot digging up to do. fact is the article is badly written, net pickes information to try make a story out of nothing and ignores all reasonable logic. They brag about how MS congratulated sony but decide to turn their face on the fact that sony did the same. they had to dig up a picture that was removed after 20 minutes just to make a story. so how can you tell me that there is nothing wrong with the article when there clearly it is? as i said its just for hits.

as for the thread here is a quote directly from it

"Signs of a flamebait thread include but are not limited to: adding a gloating or taunting comment at the end of the article, posting irrelevant information (ex.: news from a year ago), plain false information or magnifying a small issue in order to make things seem worst than they really are."

Right, we're going to start taking the marketing team seriously from now on and believe that their messages are genuine. Just as we all buy into all the CSR stuff that multi-billion dollar corporations do.

Actions speak louder than words. That's how I'll judge a company's character.
