And it wouldn't be half the game I want it to be *cry*.

I'm getting a feeling that Sega may bail out on this deal.
It looks like both Sonic: Lost Worlds and Mario & Sonic Sochi Olympics bombed. Are they really going to finance another HD Sonic to find it sells 125k worldwide in the end or something?
The Wii U userbase honestly really seems to be hardcore Nintendo fans only, ones who have one track mind on Mario/Zelda games and basically nothing else is selling, not even casual party games (that audience seems to be gone).
Didn't Nintendo do quite a bit of the game funding? I'm sure they helped develop Lost Worlds.

Sonic Lost World got the worst 3D Sonic game reviews since 06. It may sell 750k, and get ported to other consoles, but I don't see that game doing well for Sega.
The Olympic games' sales have dropped with each game. That series will probably fizzle out soon, but I don't see Sega getting out of the deal.
The Wii U userbase cares about 3rd party games, but 3rd parties don't care about the Wii U. (Rayman was put on the other consoles, Half-assed launch ports, and other things). When a game like MH3 sells good on the Wii U, even though it was released twice before, it shows that it's not the users, it's the publishers. Even Capcom said it was a smash hit. Wii U owners would have probably bought Rayman Legends more if it wasn't delayed; and not ported to other consoles. Certain games on the Wii showed that Nintendo gamers do care about 3rd parties.

I'm sure they did put some money into the publishing/marketing of Lost World, but i doubt they did for the Olympic game.

IIRC this time the Olympics game was published by Nintendo for some reason.

750k for Sonic would take a miracle I think.
If the Wii U userbase cares about 3rd party games they have a funny way of showing it.
The fact is I think even Nintendo fans are conditioned by now to buy their 3rd party content on other platforms.

Sonic games have good legs. 06 did 2 million across the PS3/360, and we all know how that game was. The game will probably get more sales when it hits the bargain bin.
The Wii U userbase (and Nintendo fans in general) care about 3rd party games. If it's good, they buy it, if it's gimped, or some other complicaton, they won't

I dont know. I'm just utterly baffled by Sonic's poor sales. Even the ropey GCN launch title port of Sonic Adventure 2 did waaaay better.
Colours did well on Wii, Generations was pretty solid on PS3/360 and then Lost Worlds is suddenly mega bomb. Its kinda blind sided me as I thought it'd help drive Wii U sales for Xmas along with 3D World.
