Yea right. Im surprised this thread got this many responses. SEGA has no business even thinking about a SA3 with what they just left us with. The new game design has a lot of work that still needs to be done. The need to get this shi t right next time before any adventure games.

By that logic, explain Heroes? Or even Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic 4 and Sonic Generations within themselves? There's no reason to name any future Sonic game SA3, or make an 'SA3' just to appease the sentimental feelings of a minority. The closest there's been is Sonic 06, and yeah.. it's all just a clusterfuck.

I guarantee you if SA2 was named anything else, this thread would not exist.


...its a direct sequel in terms of gameplay and story.

I saw this, and decided to do a bit of a comparison.

The Xbox 360, for the week ending 18th of November 2006, saw Sonic the Hedgehog 06 released, and its first week sales were... 18,040. On the PS3, for the week ending 3rd of February 2007 (when it released in the US), its first week sales were 14,900. Both games went on to sell about 400k in North America alone, and about 1 million each globally.

Sonic Lost World on Wii U saw 28,684 copies sold in the US in the first week. And that's despite launching two weeks earlier, thus having a reduced benefit regarding holiday sales ramp-up.

Well if it is a Sonic Adventure 3, then I hope it's like the original in that it has a open hub world or whatever it's called. Oh, and needless to say, Sonic should be the only playable character.
