Mario. Not only are some of my favorite games ever Mario series titles, but playing only Mario games would still provide me with a wide diversity of great games.

My friend is a Vtuber, check him out.

Final Fantasy. Even though they have some really bad game, they have a lot of good games.

Also, it's the easy choice. Final Fantasy has RPGs but there are other gens as well. You've got action adventure with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series and if you count Final Fantasy Adventure(Seiken Densetsu,) you have yet another. You have a decent third person shooter with Dirge of Cerberus. You have fighting games with Dissidia. You have action RPGs with Crisis Core and Type 0. You have TRPGs with Tactics, Tactics Advance, Tactics A2. You have strategy games with the Wii Crystal Chronicles Wii eshop games, or Final Fantasy 12 Revenant Wings, etc.

The series might be milked all to hell, but it's the definitive answer for this specific question.

Castlevania would have been the runner up for me.

Too hard.

Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy or Persona. But I'm leaning towards Persona at the moment.

Castlevania.

Especially as there are 2D & 3D versions.

Also, we have had a tonne of Castlevania's over the years, so you would most likely have to wait no longer than 12-24 months between games.

2nd Choice would be Resident Evil......... at the end of he day, since 1995 we have had the likes of......

Resident Evil.
Resien Evil: Directors Cut.
Resident Evil 2.
Resident Evil: Survivor.
Resident Evil 3.
Residen Evil: Code Veronica.
Resident Evil: Giaden.
REmake.
ResidentEvil 0.
Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil: Outbreak.
Resident Evil: Outbeak: File 2.
Resident Evil 5.
Resident Evil DS.
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
Resident Evil: Revelations.
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles/Darkside Chronicles

and many more......

And i get 2 genres of course........... Action/Adventure/Survival horror & Rail shooter/Gun games.
