People talking up the European market clearly don`t understand what is going on in Europe at the moment. France and the whole of southern Europe is in Perma slump. This is PS country. Most of the high volume console sales in this region have come at the lower price points. This is one of the main reasons the original wii sold so well in Europe because it was relatively cheap.

PS will have the highest overall market share in Europe just like it does with the PS3. But its market base is very price sensitive. At 450 euros for for the console and a game I will be very surprised if the Ps4 sells as strongly in Europe at launch as the states.

MS have cherry picked the best customers, those that buy multiple titles and subscribe to live. Their console costs more but in the long run its going to appeal to a wider market. They are strong in the stronger economies like the UK, Scandinavian countries and Germany. Higher disposable incomes. They wont sell the numbers in Europe that the PS4 does but they will actually make money on the customers they sell to.

wow... your denial is impressive. No, it isnt the amount of availble units since they havent been sold yet. Once they are sold then they will be subtracted in the system. For example, if i did a search for the ps4 thks last week i wohld see a few hnits in each of the stores. Why? Because for the preorders we are required to wait a week before being able to sell them to someone else. So, today target stores will put their ps4s that were reserved out to sell to someone else and it will show 0 units.

Lets use BB and walmart. walmat has over two times the number of locations that target has. If walmart carried the same amount per store then they would automatically have twice the market. Since they are so freaking huge Im sure theywill have higher numbers per store but not by much. Thus Walmart will would have at least three or four times the market without even trying and comparable numbers of consoles per store. BB has about 1/3rd the lications that target has. So in order to have the same market they would need to carry at least 3x the number target has. BB will sell more than Target because they are a big electronics store. Even though Target has small supply per store they will still have over 5% of the market. Thats a pretty big chunk when Amazon, Gamestop and BB will probably have the majority covered and they rest is split between about a dozen or two more chains.

I live in France and it's all about PS4. But believe what you want the future will be the answer

Over tracked by atleast 300k-400k in north america, unless it seriously under performed in europe.
