Tablet and smartphone have definitely impacted the business (see Wii U and Vita completely decimated). 

The PS4/XB1 are equipped to weather the storm because they are built for the living room experience -- that's the type of experience you want on a 50 inch screen, on your couch, with all the bells and whistles. 

What's happening is the middle tier games and platforms that are trying to appeal to the middle/lower end are getting squeezed. 

Consoles are for the big budget games that consumers want, tablets/smartphone gaming is still a part of their gaming diet too .... just with more of a focus on pick up and play/time wasting games that are cheap. 

Wii u and Vita sale are decimal is because of the lack of third party support it has nothing to do, casual don't buy wii u  becuase they are happy with their wii.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Plus, MS probably decided to prioritize the US, they need that market if they want to stay relevant.


The brazilian launch will be massive, MS has a huge price advantage here and everyone hates sony for setting the price so high in Brazil, I expect around 50K - 60K consoles sold in the first week.

With all the internet criticism towards it, youd think they expect it to sell only 200k on launch :P

So this is quite the improvement.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I couldnt tell you but from amazon uk and other european eetailers ps4 will have a much larger launch (even if you ignore the countries Ms isnt launching in)

If Xbox One sells 1'2-1'5 mill 1st week, finishing November around 2 million WW, then I expect 3-3'5 million for PS4 WW in the same time...minimum.

Sony will reach the 5 million objective for March-April before christmas....

I don't understand? Are my numbers way off? We are getting more Xbox Ones than I put (we'll get them tonight.) But my other numbers should be pretty close.

You might get more. We gotanother box. But i posted the picture. You have 10 in store. You can see other stores in your area also have 10. It would be the same numbers you see if you did an item search
