Guys the difference is clear...

1) One looks way sharper than the other.
2) One have a lot of aliasing the other way less.
3) One have a bigger draw distance than another.

These are thinks that anybody can see.... there are others things better but they are less noticeable.

Seriously I've never noticed a difference between 720p and 1080p maybe because of the 42" TV. How could I do that between 900p and 1080p ? Is it all about pixels nowadays ?

Are you saying I have the Superman's eyes?

I think the difference is somewhat obfuscated because AA is also applied.

Only 140MB?  Unless the 1080p textures are already on disc, sounds like complete bullshit to me.

Check out this thread of mine.

I won't bother editing it, but yet another coincidence that the PS4 patch only lands once the Xbox One retail version is available for sale.

Yeap... the assest are already on disc... the excuse is that they needed to finish the optimizations for 1080p after the game goest gold... so the patch just add 1080p, AA and optimizations for framerate.

Only binary code fixes.

Then the patch would be smaller. Code is never near 140mb.

But he areas chosen to do the gifs are really bad.

And it doesn't look like like a FXAA antialiasing or else the 1080p FXAAed would look like as much blurred as the 900p noAA. Maybe some kind of temporal or Morphological. I dunno.

And Ethomaz, ask at Neogaf to do a better gif showing the sharper ropes on the backgound boat of the second image?

People, you need to see the links, not the photos at the OP, because you won't notice the difference, if you see the links, the difference is quite noticeable, much more than i expected.

In the second one you only need to take a look on the buildings on the left. The 900p one is a lot blurrier than the 1080p.

As I've said, I didn't expect so much difference between 1080p and 900p, but in a full HD tv of 42'' o 46'' it should be quite clear. This confirms too, that people that don't see the difference between 1080p and 720p of the same game are more than blind....

I will be honest with you - I can't see any improvements.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

The gifs are cropped...

It's all about pixel density

Cropping makes sense, thanks for the hint. Still, the gifs cannot be used for telling. Sure there are differences, but they are small, and they are probably mostly because of rescaling. because a part of an 1080p screenshot and the same part of the 900p screenshot have a different number of pixel, so one must have been rescaled to get them into one gif. REescaling makes images less sharp.

I'm pretty sure with a big HDTV the differences are visible, but not with these gifs.

So, did you click the links and then use zoom to put the image larger, and after all of this, you still don't see any improvements???

Come on, people. Open these two links in different tabs:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BZc9XFDIgAAGV_8.jpg:orig

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BZVeebYIQAAUvgO.jpg:orig

Then switch between them. Do not try to compare them side by side...that is ridiculous since your monitor is most likely not over 1080p...

Much better example than the GIFs. Thanks.
