OT: It's a great feat nonetheless. To me, it matters little. I don't want to see monopoly taking place in the console market. I don't want to see a single "team" winning all "titles". I want to see the commercial pie to be divided with balance. That way, we'll always have options, us gamers. And option is always a good thing.

Yeah this was the first thing I thought when the Project: Cafe (Wii U rumors) started leaking, I thought "please Nintendo don't be dumb enough to launch another PS3/360 level console, the market for that is completely saturated unless you have a miracle controller under your sleeves again".

Casuals have betrayed Nintendo for $1 games and there was way too much of a focus on overly cartoony games too IMO. Mario is fine, but Nintendo Land, Rayman, Sonic, LEGO City, etc. gave the impression of a console for kids, which is something not even kids want once they get to about age 11. 

They needed to have a GoldenEye a realistic Zelda or worst-case, even a Metroid Prime in the console's first year to go with Mario. 


totlaly agree. The sad part is they had loads of great franchises under their belts but they chose not to buy out RARE and now look at XBOX ONE, killer instinct coming out, what is next out of that classic treasure chest?
