Forums - Microsoft - MCV: Microsoft Calls for Patience Over Xbox One Shortages

All aboard the CBOAT!

Could he end up being right this entire time?

Either way, Sony will surely take full advantage of this.

So, is there more information out there on this?  From what Ethomaz posted, we have nothing saying that M$ is supplying less than Sony.  THe only information that we have here is that the retailers want more.

It is near the end of the end....

No the information we have is that MS are not fulfilling their orders that have already been accepted. NOT that retailers are wanting to place more orders than MS have stock for.

We have 30+ countries compared to 13 and retailers taking about not getting enough XBones to cover preorders and not the same for PS4.

Sounds like Sony is supplying much more. That or you can submit to the opinion that maybe XBone preorders between those 13 equals or surpasses the supply of Sony and the 30+.

It just seems obvious to me at this point, but hey, I've been wrong before.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I sooo blame Don mattrick for this. MS has a hard time picking up the pieces of his legacy.

It is like Don had zero concept of price comparison, geographical availability, or target demographics (targeting the elite internet savy as opposed to the masses)

Not getting stock out to the indie stores will hurt them quite a bit in towns that dont have a Game. There is always the supermarket option but dedicated game stores will push whatever they can, and with no Xbox One to promote they will go all out PS4.

Are small stores that important where you live? In the US, mega retail has completely taken over to the point where small business is dying.

BTW...your sig? Can't...look...away.

They're bigger on the UK high street than they are in the US. Pretty much every town will have an independant game retailer or two, and in many cases, the town won't have a GAME since a load of the stores shut last year due to the chain going into administration.

Most my gaming purchases actually come from a smaller game chain.

US and European retail is vastly different. I haven't seen a single "indie" games retailer in the US outside of a major city. They're very common in smaller towns here.

This is a non article. It's just to try and bill the XBONE as a hot ticket item. Why are you guys taking it seriously?

MCV is a trade magazine for UK retailers. They have no reason to make "hype" articles.

We have one small store for 3 towns now Blockbuster shut down. This store gets the vast majority of business, though there is a Tesco with a small gaming section about 5 Mile away.

Its so successful the guy who owns it has been able to open 3 more stores under his brand with plans for 2 more.

Well launches are usually plagued with demand exceeding supply. The picture you posted was done in 2007, months after the PS3 launch.
