Gamers? Patient? HA!
While retailers wait for more Xbox One consoles, they'll be more than happy to move a few PS4's.
so wait the xbox has supply problems? but i thought they were going to have just as many as ps4's.
hmm it almost seems like maybe those yield issues were true after all.

Not getting stock out to the indie stores will hurt them quite a bit in towns that dont have a Game. There is always the supermarket option but dedicated game stores will push whatever they can, and with no Xbox One to promote they will go all out PS4.

Luckily for MS they have a week long advantage to try and shove more stock down supply chains.

If they're orders that MS have accepted and promised for launch, and they now can't fulfil them. That entirely is a supply issue. The cut off for guaranteed launch consoles came and went back in August on PS4. I'm sure XBONE was pretty close behind. If indie retailers aren't getting any systems at the moment, they will be pre orders that aren't being fulfilled at launch.
