Back then was the peak of the console launches too (Wii/PS3/360), my timing is impeccable for the next generation
Lets hope some others come back too, Lolita, OkeyDokey and Weezy would be a nice start.

Now you people are taking me back to my stalking days
. Was too shy to join back in 2007 myself, that plus the insanity that was going on around here with the Halo 3, Mass Effect, PS3 HAZ NO GAMEZ LOLZ threads. I was sitting in my corner enjoying my DS and Wii
.

I didn't get Fire Emblem yet so maybe after that. I really am not catching up with this year's lineup

You should have joined, It was dominated by Nintendo fanboys (still kind of is) It was great watching the Wii explode and dominate after reading hundreds of threads about its doom before it even came out. Every week the hardware sales were dominated by DS and Wii by a huge margin. Glory days.

I was afraid of those as well
. I generally tend to dislike fanboyism, even if I mostly played on Nintendo consoles for the early part of the generation, and in the past 18 months (all hail the glory of the 3DS-Hypnotoad
).

So are you and Leo-J still the best of friends?

100 € for a 3DS game? Yeah, thanks, but no thanks S-E. Even FFXIII SE versions weren't this damn expensive.

The AR stuff better be pointless, I'll be really put off if I have to use it.

Here's what's inside: 1. Agnès figurine. I couldn't find any information on what the AR cards will do, but I assume most of them will function as an art gallery you can toy around with. A few others might activate short CG movies or typically trashy Square-Enix minigames. Possibly item/equipment unlocks, but probably nothing exclusive or overpowered. With no indications that any AR cards will be sold separately, it should be safe to assume that the AR feature is non-essential, although it can't be ruled out that there will be sidequests that can only be activated via AR cards. |
If this turns out to be true, it would be a very dickish move by S-E. Not that they're not fond of those, they pratically thrive out of them, so it is to be expected someway.
The only thing I can see driving up the price that much is the figurine. Most CEs include Artbooks and Soundtracks and they're 10$/€ more than the regular edition, tops. Still, 50€ for a figurine that's of unknown quality/collectible value is ridiculous.
