Lol, a brilliant question in the OP, the next one should be "who cares about games for consoles anyway?"
If I'm gonna invest my hard earned money in a brand new system, I want to be able to do what it's meant to do (as in, play games). I do not want to play games just because:
- they exist
- they are in 1080p
- they are made for certain brand of consoles
I want to play games because they are good great and enjoyable (and challenging, if I'm in the mood). When I play a game I invest 3 things: time, money and effort. I want to be properly rewarded for all of three. Now, a metacritic score isn't always a true story behind a game, but it's a good indicator. With inflation of good and great scores, any game below 80 today I double check.
Will I play Knack just because it's out for PS4, but the evil reviewers are comparing it's enjoyment by killing time in airplane by watching a bad movie? Ofcourse I'm not. I bet all the reviewers thinked twice before giving out those scores to the two big launch PS4 games, and that makes those scores even more worrysome.
