Forums - Gaming - Who cares about launch title reviews?

The population is big enough to make pubs raise the salary of the devs that manage a 90+ game on meta, the launch line up matters it sort off is the reason to buy new sistems at an higher price on your case is battlefield for many others its the exclusive experiences
Btw - The best launch game of the ps4 for me is Resogun from what i´ve seen.

A lot of people, actually. It's just that one of the war's sides get dissarmed this time.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Reassurance thread is reassuring.

Well, I have a PC i play games like Battlefield on so that I only really care about the exclusive launch games. If those aren't really worth it, what do I need a console at launch for?

Now I could say that it still doesn't matter if I buy the console now or in half a year because the price will be pretty much the same but that won't change that the exciting launch of the console isn't exciting if it would collect dust from day one except maybe for a few hours of trying out the UI and playing one or two indie games.

Nobody will buy a console only for the launch games but it would be still good if you would have something to use the console you buy.

I don't care since I won't get a console at launch nor will I ever play any of those launch games probably.

Also people acting as if it was something extremely surprising that the launch games on a console aren't all that great, might want to take a look at past generations, launch games generally are very mediocre. (Exceptions of course exist)

So people got lost in the hype of the new generation and are now confused as to why their predictions didn't come true, well big deal. Maybe it'll teach them to view the next console launches (if they'll be any) from a more sober viewpoint.

BTW I fully expect the Xbox One to suffer from equally low scores in comparison to this communities expectation. I mean really, on average a score of 79 for X1 retail launch exclusives? 71 for Lococycle and 78 for Ryse? Come on people that is just begging for disappointment.

Who cares if games are good or bad?

I'm not getting your logic here.

Who cares about launch reviews? THE NINTENDO HATERS!

Just want to say that "flopping" is a result of the game not meeting its hype. Im sure KZ wasn't hyped to be a 70's meta. Not knocking the game, just saying the definition of flop.

This thread just tells people very openly that you are insecure. Launch titles will score less then expected on both sides. We have to try and be mature about it.

Bolded: No. Flopping means not meeting sales expectations.

Italic: I'll make sure to remember that you said that. Especially the underlined part.

Oh please. I am not insecure about it, I'm simply tired of reading about it.

Show me some real numbers before you start making stuff up. Show me the ACTUAL percentage of people who base their purchases off of metascore on one game.

People are tired of resolution threads yet we have been reading about those for weeks.

This has only been going on for about 10hours.

So which is worst?

Because the internet is filled with dumb people who don't shut up about things. Trust me I'm just as tired of hearing about it, but only brought that up in my thread because M$ (like Sony) doesn't really have MUCH to show for when it comes to launch title exclusives. That's why there's more pre-orders for the multi-plat games. I'm teling you right now, Ryse and DR3 won't score that high.

How can they make the best exclusive games ever as a launch title? When is the last time a console actually launched with A+++ titles?

The only reason to be upset about it is if you consider it a valid point. Otherwise you just wouldnt care at all.

BTW why is this just now a problem? I remember when the Wii U launched lots of people were using the reviews as a basis for why the console sucked. DId you also make a thread about it back then? I would like to read it if so

As a Dynasty Warriors fan I have known how unreliable mainstream reviewers are for a long time. You all here are actually using metacritic scores to judge the quality of the games? You are talking as if the games are objectively bad or something. Play them for yourselves or at least get to know the games by watching in depth perspectives.
