This thread just tells people very openly that you are insecure. Launch titles will score less then expected on both sides. We have to try and be mature about it.

Show me some real numbers before you start making stuff up. Show me the ACTUAL percentage of people who base their purchases off of metascore on one game.

Just saying that we live in a world where a gamers wallet and bank account has a finite amount of money. We live in a crazzzzie world where a sensible gamer can only afford 1-3 launch games. Now given KZ's meta, maybe, just maybe.....a gamer on the fence may get Battlefield 4 instead to get their one FPS fix this year.

Now the more silly explanation to your OP is that fans of console corporation allegiances, NEED good scores for leverage to elevate themselves. It literally makes their day. Trust me, I knew what it was like lol
