I love Rosalina! Instant buy for me when I get a WiiU

Just watched Nintendo Direct, and I'm pretty impressed.

-Bravely Default looks awesome, I might get the collectors edition.
-Mario Party Island Tour looks awesome too, I might pick this up just the beat Bowsers Tower. I largely prefer MP on consoles, but this looks so damn good. Why can't Console MP games be this awesome? ;-(
-Zelda looks lame, and I still haven't beaten my Zelda's for DS, so I'm probably going to pass on this one
-Super Mario 3D World on the other hand looks cool.

3) 3DS is getting a firmware update. You will be able to connect your 3DS to your existing Nintendo Network ID if you have one, or create a new one. This will combine your Wii U and 3DS eShop balances if you have both, and it will enable Miiverse access through your 3DS with your NNID.

I don't know how the Nintendo Network ID works, but does this mean we are finally getting an unified account system?

Hey I was just talking about them getting Youtube onto the 3DS! Nintendo reads VGC confirmed!?

i know... this has been in my wish list since the 3ds launch!.... now we need the 3d movies! :)

Finally there updating the YouTube app, that's the only reason why I never used it.

Zelda...I don't know what else to say but "wow". Same with Mario, and whoever smuggled in Rosalina deserves a medal.

Never really use the YouTube app. Just go to youtube over the internet app which is excellent.

Uncertain, although having this in place certainly means that a lot of the back-end work required to make that possible would already be done, and would get the benefits that people really want out of it (combined shop balances and the ability for the NNID to run across multiple consoles if necessary, meaning that the ID is your primary identity as the network sees it and not the machine itself). Clearly now we are able to run the ID from multiple machines, then it becomes a separate entity and the rest of the matter is working on the back-end to eventually move the 3DS away from friend codes and onto the NNID system, running a merger soon after.
