Forums - Gaming - In Hindsight, how much of a megaton is DESTINY on PS4?

Yeah I think it's a pretty big MEGATON.

The MS fans try to downplay it by saying "we knew Bungie was going multiplat" but when you look at threads from last year, everyone thought MS was getting timed-exclusivity on this game.

So when Bungie came out at the PS4 reveal in Feb, everyone was shocked. It would be like Naughty Dog showing up at the Xbox One reveal and announcing Uncharted would be on XB1 with exclusive content.

Not exactly

Bungie cut ties with MS a while ago, we all knew that Destiny was going to be multiplat. So what? The shoker is supposed to be that it isn't timed? Or exclusive content? If it was a next gen exclusive or something I could see it being a "megaton", but all it did was become a non-timed exclusive.

And the comparison is pretty poor, ND is first party. And let's say they became independent and it happened, it'll be more of a shock because Uncharted is known as a playstation franchise, Where Destiny is a brand new IP.

It's great news no doubt but I'd hardly consider that a "megaton", but that's just me.

A game being released on four platforms is not Megaton.

Don't see the huge deal. Unlike Titanfall which is an exclusive Destiny will be out on all platforms. We all knew once Bungie and MS split they would be making multiplatform games. Regardless if Destiny was a timed exclusive or not.

No one is talking about Destiny like they are Titanfall.

Titanfall is on three different platforms as opposed to four for Destiny. Not that big of a difference.

Exclusive (possibly timed)content for a multiplatform game is and never will be a big deal, especially with a new IP. If it were established like COD or BF and had new/exclusive content first, it could be somewhat important, but minimal. Also this game might suck cause we dont know much of it.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Lol right? Final Fantasy XIII on 360 was a megaton. Destiny on PS4 wasn't.

When it's made by the developers who basically MADE Xbox what it is today.... Yes, its a megaton.

You are saying it's Megaton because its on the PS3/4 but why would it matter if it's also on the 360/XB1 it is being published by Activision after all.

because there were strong rumors saying it would be timed exclusive on Xb1.
