I won't comment on the consoles themselves as the topic is focusing in this community.

I agree x 1 has become a punching bag and there are two reasons for that.

1. Something has to take hits pre launch in close releases, xbox has had more weak spots exposed and sony kept better secrets. A lot of things said about xbox are past things that are no longer true but I think this website is beyond that at the very least.

2. Fanboys try to swing sales of the undecided gamers. it happens for every console and we don't see it from MS this time around because they don't have any sexy leverage. News of the resolution disparity gave sony fanboys an easy clinger, not that power wasn't always their main argument but the technicality of it only made it an easy argument.

Things will be what they will be but it would be nice if people didn't cling so much on aged established news. We see the same threads posted by different people word for word, and when it's not the exact same the topic does not change, it gets old rather quickly. Basically we have a lot of dedicated marketer here that may or may not be getting profits from the sales.

Can't change it though, I think they kind of like acknowledging threads like this, more fuel to the fire.

Although I do think the same topic is posted too many times, and should be clamped down on.

Oh it's a "the playstation fans are so mean to the xbox that's so unfair"-thread, we don't have those once a month, nice...

I'll just say two things.

1. Selective memory much? Every fanbase is constantly downplaying the features of the competing consoles or blowing its issues out of proportion.
2. I don't see why I should feel sorry for a 500$ toy or the multibillion dollar company behind it, so if I see something about the X1 that I feel is worth discussing I will give my opinion no matter if it's negative or positive.

The Xbox One is a "punching bag" as it is currently performing worse in the areas that matter most to people.

Price: PS4 is $100 cheaper than the XB1

Power: PS4 is running games at 1080p that the XB1 is running at 720p

Games: More subjective, but in numbers PS4 has more

People shouldn't use these facts to take cheap shots, but anyone who was legitimately considering a next-gen Xbox has a right to be disappointed. I personally hope they try and fix this. They can't win on power, but the other two I hope are better by next year (when I hope to get one).

I've come across a few Xbox fans (hopefully the ones I'm referring to are the fringe minority) from the very beginning who believed that just because Microsoft has deep pockets they will create a kickass console what will rule over all.  Well Nintendo is still around and so is Sony regardless of their financial woes.  And look how more financially stable Microsoft is compared to Nintedo and Sony combined.  I've come to the conclusion that these fans in particular were putting too much faith in Microsoft's cash flow instead of catering to the gaming market since this is console gaming that we are talking about.

Lol he got banned for telling people to do what sony fans do all the time. So the action is ok,  just not saying it.  Lol
