Published by Microsoft does not mean MS first party.

As I gamer, I've seen a lot of negative PlayStation news typically posted by Xbox fans through out the PS3's lifetime.  But you complain about the truthful reports  in regards to Microsoft's piss poor PR and independent sources commenting on the Xbox One's hardware issues.  And you talk about balance?  If you're going to take that warped stance, you're now getting balance in the form of truthful negative Xbox news to balance out the past negative PS3 news.  It's just that there has been less and less negative PS3 news as of recent which give less for the Xbox fans to post.  When there's good news, there is good news. And when there is bad news, there is bad news.  Reality doesn't give you a balance of good to bad.  And sorry that most negative news as of recent is in regards to your console of choice.  You can blame the media, you can blame the Sony extremists.  But the blame in part also falls on Microsoft and their fans.  Nothing good will come out of what you are trying to accomplish with this thread.

yes, it does actually.  You are confusing developers and games.  A game published by a platform holder is technically considered a first party game, although the developer may in fact be a third party, the game itself is first party.  That is how it is commonly known.

no, technically they are all first party games.  Just the developers are not first party.  That is how the industry and public at large think of it.  Stop trying to split hairs.

You make a good point. The OP seems to think that every negative post about the XboxOne is only from the Sony users, or the internet is full of only Sony users. I would say that perhaps that just as many negative comments are from current X360 users who are moving over to the PS4.

From people I work with - out of a group of 6 people, 1 is buying an XboxOne Only, another is buying both, while the other 4 are buying PS4's. These people were pro Xbox 360, they used it as their main console... but it's actually quite surprising how little they care for who makes it, just which console gives them the best options.

So I guess what I am saying is, there are people who are only positive to Sony, there are people who are positive to MS, the the biggest number are in the middle.. but the problem for some of those on the Pro MS side is that they perceive all negative posts about the XboxOne to be some form of Pro-Sony bashing, rather than - "MS screwed up bad".

Let's be honest MS have screwed up bad in many ways, unfortunately some people will not accept some of the things they did were quite awful. 

In terms of this forum (and others), there have been a number of Pro MS users who defended MS to the hilt on things like : the Cloud power, secret sauce and DRM, which have all been ripped apart quite easily... so I think it's easy to see the frustration of normal users who try to use common sense, but get shouted down by people who say "You don't know what you are talking about" or "You are anti MS" "MS Said it, so it must be true"... etc etc.

You must ask yourself, 80 million purchased an Xbox, 80 million purchased a PS3... many would be owners of both (like myself)... ask yourself why Gamers feel so angry with MS right now. If you don't know or understand the reasons, then you probably haven't been taking any notice of what they have been doing over the last year (or perhaps you don't care).

Being done by internal studios or not, those titles belong to MS. Funded and published like an internal game.
