I agree with the OP.

@oniyide

The problem with the Move is that it works in every game by replacing a classic function with motion.
you can use WiiMpte Plus on all those tons of Wii games you mentioned.

If you want more accurency then WiiMote Plus, then just buy something with 6-Axis Motion Sensors, like the Wii U (because the GamePad has 6-Axis sensors as do the PS Move as well).

no you cant, the Wiimote plus has TERRIBLE support, hell it has less compatible games than either Kinect OR Move despite selling more and being out longer, but im not surprised, Ninty doesnt have a great track record of supporting their addons.

+Plus remote Came out in 2010. Wii got its last first party games put out in 2011.

Logic brah.

Whats all this Wii Sports hate? The only thing that was a bitch to master was Boxing. Lol.

doesnt change the fact it got crap support, hell IMHO it makes the situation look worst as it seems that Ninty stopped supporting the whole system wholesale after Zelda

dont hate Wiisports, hard to hate something that came with the system. I just think its very overrated. ANd bowling was the easiest thing in the world. Tennis was on rails. Golf was too loose, baseball was fine. and boxing was flat out inaccurate which was a shame cause that is what i was hoping would be the best but controlled the worse. But at least Resort was way better. Hell Sony and MS' own clones were way better.

Nintendo has been clearly juggling a lot of shit since 2009.

Honestly Im hoping that the changes Iwata's made to NOA will show some fucking results soon >_>

NoA is REALLY dragging them down over here.

Wii sports always felt like a Tech Demo imo. But people were hardcore with that game lol

as long as we can agree it was a tech demo. Which is why i cant hate it because it was a tech demo

Cant agree on the rest. EVERYONE is always juggling shit, since forever. What makes them more special than Sony or MS? Their motion devices are still being supported, hell their consoles are still being supported. Why couldnt that be the case for Ninty. I dont think NOA has anything to do with it as they have no real power or influence anyway, unless im wrong and they do.

Sony isnt actually really supporting the Move at all.

Third parties not withstanding here.
MS is way bigger than Nintendo.

Nintendo's in a ditch right now.

NoA's job is marketing, coordination and analysis. and the person who was running it was probably the most out of touch person in Nintendo, infact Iwata had him deported to Japan into a position that fits him well. Sleeping next to Shuhei Yoshida.

Otherwise NoA was working on their third party relationships.

Was Ninty in a ditch in 2009? Around the time when Motion+ was released? Im not talking now, im talking then, what was their excuse then? Sony is winding down on PS3 and their MLB series still use it and they still have one more game at least that will use Move(some horror game). MS is MS.

Why don't PC software and game developers create something that doesn't require a mouse and keyboard setup? Touch / motion controls are SOOOO much better...

Motion controls = control options for gamers not coordinated enough to use standard dual-analog game pads.

Fuck dual analog for playing shooters.  I'm done with shooters but the Wiimote+nunchuck is far superior to dual analog.  I'd rather point at something that I want to shoot than fuck around with dual analog.  For FPS it goes mouse+keyboard > wiimote+nunchuck > dual analog.  Sure this is my personal opinion but it sounds like you never even tried wiimote+nunchuck combo for a FPS.

Seriously i thought the Wii Sports was way better than Microsofts clones, way better!!

Also Nintendo didnt give up on motion controls. you still have wii u sports club coming, you have also motion controls in wii party u and several other games coming.

the arcades on rails shooter was finally reproduced in a home console, with games like umbrella/darkside chronicles and house of the dead.

But it's amazing indeed that so many stupid people bashed motion controls simply because it was nintendo who did it. any true gamer that grew on the 90's must have always dreamed or at lest wondered about motion controls in gaming. yet when they finally get it, they crap on it over hate.

There are a few instances in which Motion Controls worked better than a standard button format (Metroid Prime 3 springs to mind as the first example), but the problem is that a fair bit of work needs to be done in order to get motion controls to work effectively. While it sounds simple enough (point at the screen and the thing moves), due to all motion control formats lacking buttons, certain functions that would have to have been programmed to buttons now have to be assigned to motion control functions, and doing that intuitively and in a non-gimmicky way is difficult.

There's also the fact that motion controls, despite how far they've come, just are flat out not as reliable as a standard controller scheme (unless the motion controls involve pointing at the sensor bar and nothing else). People reference Skyward Sword, which is arguably one of the best example of motion control working. But that's the thing, even in one of the best examples of motion control working, I would argue that Skyward Sword's sword swinging mechanic will still give you an incorrect input about once every 20 or so tries; a 95% success rate. And this is one of the best instances of motion controlling in a game.

Buttons (unless they break) work 100% of the time. There's a drop in reliability, it's difficult to build a control scheme around it, and if you're developing a game for the other two consoles, which don't have Wii remote style controls (or, at least, didn't until the PS Move), it's hard to port a well done version of that over to a completely new control scheme. With the Wii's generally poor sales for third party titles, the sales factor could be enough by itself to convince people to not try anything new in terms of motion control.

PIkmin 3. Best motion controls. Put Skyward Sword to shame. The Wii remote+ nunchuck set up sort of mimmics keyboard and mouse set up, with awesome IR pointer controls that cant be matched

Red Steel 2 as well.

I definitely agree that Pikmin 3 was much better off with motion controls than a working controller would be. Most games that require specific pointing at the TV and clicking are better off for the Wii remote, all else held equal.

man so much just plan wrong, First off the motion controls for Wii sucked, period. It was evident since WiiSports. on rails tennis, a boxing game that was inaccurate as hell. THe controls were limited. What genres do hardcore gamers play that could really benefit from motion controls? lets get real. Better yet what games coudl have benefitted from the Wiimote? limited as it was. ALl i can think is FPSs and the ones that Wii did get were mediocore on average.

As for Move dont know where you been at. Infamous2, FoB, Killzone3, Resistance3, LBP2, Spiderman, Bioshock, that Dawn game, Datura, hot shots golf, goldeneye, child of eden, portal2, sorcery, the fight, time crisis, housed of the dead, socom, ghost recon. thats just what comes to mind.

Someone hasn't heard of Skyward Sword.

People keep tossing in Skyward Sword when the guy seems to be clearly replying to the part of the OP where he asks what good games for the MOVE were even released.  Skyward Sword wasn't a Move game.
