Yeah and ive read that i have a ps3 and an xbox360, and SHOCK, im buying it on PS3! Yep even with the install time! Why, because im not going to buy a game on a console with a death clock timer on it...even though im enjoying Lost Odyssey like a new final fantasy...

Seriously, enjoy the experience till you get rrod'd beyond human belief

The TV adverts with the XBox live logo at the end in the UK didn't help the PS3 particularly either.

Wii = 67-68m

X360 = 38-39m

PS3 = 34-35m

Prediction: The PS3 will surpass the 360 on weekly sales after it drops to $299 on all regular weeks (no big releases).

Here I was thinking £10 cheaper also helped. To me that's the only reason why it's so high compared.

 I'm sure it didn't help, but if you have a PS3 then you have no choice but to buy the expensive version.

However, if you have a PS3 but have no idea that the game iscoming then you are not going to buy it anyway...

Exactly.

Plus, Capcom being assholes claiming they had nothing to do with the larger price tag on the PS3 version.

Seriously Capcom... seriously.

Yup I've seen loads of X360 DMC ads, and non that say it's available on the PS3. If you only used adverts here in the UK to find games you wouldn't know it was on the PS3.

If you want it now that is, wait a few months and the price will be reduced in sales and such alike, then you buy it.

I think most PS3 owners that are fans of the series might know. But that logic of if you don't know work for every console. People still bought Burnout Paradise for 360 even though all the ads were for PS3 only.

 

Plus I agree with rukusa above, Capcom have dealt with this really badly. £10 more for the same game is disgraceful. Especially when it is the same price in Japan and USA.

This is indeed a surprise where the PS3 is dominating the 360 otherwise in Europe. I guess people aren't tempted by the 25 minute preloading and 8GB instalation of the PS3 version.

I know fans are livid about the issue as Capcom has been forced to comment publically on the issue saying, "Don't complain, eat a sandwich".
