Nintendo news of 05/11/2014: I think I've never done a good job at explaining a full ND shortly... That might not change today!

  • Media Create: The 3DS sold 70k units, and the Wii U 4.7k units last week. Monster Hunter 4G was at the top of the charts, and sold another 100k units. Followed by Yokai Watch 2 with 29k units, Smash Bros. 3DS with 29k units, Tales of the World: Reve Unitia with 10k units, and Mario Kart 8 with 3k units.
  • Here's the Nintendo Direct (US) roundup! The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (Spring 2015) is official! A new trailer from Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. (Spring 2015) Pikmin Short Movies are now out, for $4.99. New details for the First Pack of MK8 DLC were announced, from tracks to characters; releasing on Nov 13th! And now we have an idea of how many games will be compatible with Amiibo, which looks like it'll be all games releasing from now on. Details on games releasing next year like Splatoon (Q2 2015), Xenoblade Chronicles X (2015), and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (February 2015). And much, much more!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Ugh, why do you have to be 2015 Xenoblade...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

That Direct was pretty good! I'm glad to see that MM3D finally got announced.

We're already in November, be happy that they are "targeting a 2015 release" instead of a 2016 one.

About the Direct, I liked it. Sure, as someone who doesn't have a 3DS the games for it were not that interesting to me, and the Amiibo part was overdone (understandable since they want us to buy as many toys as possible), but it had good pacing and didn't felt boring to me.

Plus Xenoblade.

Please excuse my bad English.

I find it sad that people are more hyped about Zelda MM 3D than about Splatoon...

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

Ive never played MM before and am a huge Zelda fan, especially OoT. Also I love what Ive seen from lets plays of MM. Splatoon looks cool but it doesnt look amazing, I will definitely pick it up, hopefully enjoy it but I doubt I will play it for more than 20-25 hours... hell Im not even sure if Ive put that much time into MK8 yet =(

Well Im from Australia, not that it matters because no =(
I was in EB returning CoD and forgot to pick up eShop money to buy it when I got home, will hopefully remember tomorrow.

I've seen a lot of people talking about X and complaining about the lack of variety.

It's the first area! It's the "Colony 9" of this game! And the city (which looks huge BTW) is taken straight from Earth and modelled after LA, so ofcourse it's going to look like LA.

Lots of strange comments.
